Thwaites Interdisciplinary Margin Evolution (TIME)

An NSF- and NERC-funded International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration (ITGC) project studying the Eastern Shear Margin of Thwaites Glacier, Antarctica

This blog is maintained by the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) seismology team participating in the Thwaites Interdisciplinary Margin Evolution (TIME) project. This blog will primarily cover research and field work updates to allow others to learn about our science goals and what it is like to be a seismologist investigating glaciers in Antarctica.

Thwaites Interdisciplinary Margin Evolution (TIME) is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Environment Research Council (NERC) to study the Eastern Shear Margin of Thwaites Glacier in West Antarctica. The project is trying to better understand the response of the glacier to changes in climate and the contributions to sea level rise of this collapsing glacier.
